What does traditional Chinese medicine treat?

Traditional Chinese medicine has its own unique medical theories, diagnosis and treatments. Traditional Chinese medical theory is based on the scientific observation of a concept called Yin and Yang. This term is mainly phonetically translated. It observes the world around and within us that make Chinese medicine able to address so many ailments. One of its basis is the concept of mutual duality, oppositions, complements and counter-balance; thus the earth may not exist without the sky, insides opposes to the outside, night comes and day raises, or one would not know these terms without the other. When a disease is affecting a person's way of life, the disease is evaluated on this principle of Yin and Yang. During treatment, the opposition is used to reverse the condition. This is called restoring the balance.
